The Four Nations Series is a dual class, one design, series where boats are matched and only separated by the teams who maintain and drive them. This is the closest matched racing series in the World as history tells from its Honda Four Stroke roots. This form of racing is the most spectacular as the race crews take on the inevitably unpredictable seas which surround our European shores in tough high speed circuit races fiercly fought by skilled racers from the UK and Europe .
The 150hp class of 21 footers are very stable but are prone to heading skywards and sometimes like submarines disappear stealthily, only to reappear on the surface much to the relief of their navigators and drivers.
The 225hp class comprises sleeker and faster highly strung hulls which reach speeds of around 70mph.
As any seasoned driver will tell you, they have a requirement of control and finesse and will bite back in an instant where the slightest mistake is severely punished; only this time unlike heading into the tyres you have an awful lot of drying out to do!
